My contributions to the Home Assistant ecosystem.
I have been automating my home with Home Assistant for years: lighting, alarm, locks, irrigation, climate, intercom. Along the way I have been contributing specific things that I share with the community and, when it makes sense, propose for inclusion in the core.
My HA projects
History Editor
A custom component, installable via HACS, that adds a panel to the Home Assistant UI for viewing, creating, editing and deleting history and statistics records for any entity. Useful for fixing wrong sensor readings, filling gaps in historical records, migrating data from other systems, or cleaning up wrong statistics that persist beyond the normal retention period.
Professional ACL
A proposal and proof of concept that extends the Home Assistant permission system with deny rules, label-based permissions, custom roles, per-service permissions and per-automation permissions. Currently under discussion with the HA team, designed to be merged as a series of small, incremental PRs.
