What it is
Cuéntamo is a personal finance and freelancer accounting web app I have been developing since 2024. I built it because I couldn’t find any tool that combined what I needed: household finance tracking, automatic balance forecasting and a tax module for freelancers adapted to Spanish regulations.
How it works
From the recurring income and expenses you define, Cuéntamo projects the balance of your accounts and anticipates the tight months ahead. The tax module calculates quarterly VAT and income tax under the simplified direct estimation regime and produces the four mandatory record books required by the Spanish Tax Agency, ready to export. You can import bank statements in CSV, XLS and XLSX with automatic categorisation, and share your account book with your partner or a household member.
Tech stack
Symfony 7 + API Platform on the backend; React 18 with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the frontend; PostgreSQL as the database; Docker and Caddy for deployment.
Status
It has been in public beta since 2026 and I use it myself daily to manage my household finances and my freelance activity.
